Guest Speaker - Culinary Writer
This year the Oregon Chocolate Festival will welcome Sara Perry, a respected culinary writer who has authored many great cookbooks and contributed to numerous culinary columns, tv and radio shows. Sara will be our guest speaker and will be available to sign her books.
Sara Perry's Profile:
Sara Perry is a freelance columnist for The Oregonian as well as a food, family entertainment, and travel contributor for national publications and Web sites. Sara has written over a dozen cookbooks, including Deep, Dark Chocolate,The New Complete Coffee Book,and Birthday Treats, which is part of her holiday celebration series with recipes and crafts for the whole family. Sara has multi-media expertise; she makes frequent television appearances and is a popular radio commentator.
As a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals and former owner of her own public relations firm, Sara is well versed in marketing and public relations. When she is not in the kitchen (or at the computer), Sara can often be found (in the warmer months) on the back of her husband Pete's BMW motorcycle. Together, they explore the Northwest and Canada, photographing and writing about their adventures (Pete is the photographer on board.)
